FOTD: New lip Gloss

There is a great natural make up shop in St. Charles Town Mall. It is called C'est Bien. I recently purchased a lip gloss that last and lasts. My lips stay moisturized. I will take some pics of the store the next time I go. It was a little on the pricy end, This lip gloss was about $12.oo dollars. It applies clear with a little shimmer, this time around I added a little brown liner.

FOTD: Colorful

I haven't dabbled in my makeup all week so I thought it was time to play in some. This look is very colorful! I can't wait to try it again...
  • I started with a nice clean moisturized face. Then I added UDPP to the eyes.

  • Apply MAC Delft paint pot to the lower lid

  • Apply MAC Electra to the inner portion of the lower lid and pull the color outwards.

  • Next pull out some Minerals. First I applied just a little bit of Armaleigh's Nico to the inner part of my eye.

  • Apply Armaleigh's Chloe to crease and blend in with Nico and apply Armaleigh's Lulu to crease. (Sorry pic of Lulu did not come out, but it is a hot pinkish color)
  • Apply MAC Vex to browbone, and I used a light blue eye pencil on the lower lid.

  • Blend well, and apply your favorite eye liner and mascara, define brows, and add some blush and lipgloss.
Ladies let your locks down and that it!

New Shirt

I saw this shirt on-line and thought it would be great to wear to the Erica Badu concert next week. I am going to be completely punked out that day, and I got some cute accessories to go with it. I also want some light patent pumps. I am going to go shopping for those this weekend... maybe

Jewlery.... Love, Locks, and Natural Hair Expo

I got a lot of jewelry today, earrings, loc jewelry, and ring, all under $20.00 bucks. This picture also includes a loc soc (for my hair), it was $10.00. I also got this piece of loc jewelry from the Love, Locs, and Natural Hair Expo. You probably can't tell but it is the the Giza pyramid with the all seeing eye. I thought it was cool. I am going to have my loctician put it in my hair for me once I go and get my hair retightened. The earrings and the ring came from a vendor in Greenbelt. My daughters girl scout troup was at Greenbelt Community Center, and down the street they had music and vendors. The beautiful lady who made them was selling everything dirt cheap because she was just starting out. I could not resist a good deal!

I wish I would have taken this picture before I was out in the smouldering sun. Everything MAC today. I am wearing Humid, Down Brown, Woodwinked e/s with Mac concealer. Black track liner, and Mascara. That's about it, the lipgloss was wiped off a long time ago. No foundation, no blush (too damn hot). LMAO

FOTD...Finally Feeling Like Spring

So it is finally feelilng like spring lately, I wanted to look springy on Friday at work and brought out the L'Oreal Hip Showy. I am wearing MAC's Electra on the lid with the teal blue HIP color, and I added the dark blue color to the crease and outer V. MAC's Vex was added to the brow bone to highlight. Now will this weather stay like this? Who knows. Am I the only one that feels as though they have to add every duo of L'Oreal Hip to their collection. I am always looking for shades that I don't have. the colors are vibrant, and the price is unbeatable.

Dream Mousse Shadow

Now I love a good sale when I see one. Last week I was at Rite Aid, (my favorite makeup drugstore) and they had a Maybelline sale. I bought 4 shades of Maybelline Dream Mousse Shadow for $12.00, it was BOGO. I really like the shades that I bought, they are great for spring. I don't like the application of them, but the finish is beautiful and blends very well with other shades of eye shadow. You can apply them directly using your fingers, but I prefer using a brush. The color lasted all day. Should have uploaded a pic, but my lzay behind need to recharge the batteries in the camera. Have you tried the mousse shadows? Care to comment...

The shades I bought are:

Mint Dream

Turquoise Breeze

Tranquil Rose

Vanilla Veil

Cinderella Dressed in Yellow...

Cinderella dressed in yellow. Hopefully I will be attending an album release party this month on the 18th, and yellow is a must have. See what I mean...
I am thinking about using MAC's Clarity or Electric Eel to compliment the yellow since spring is in the air. My goal is to also make this event very cost effective. So my goal is to do everything from head to toe under $100.00. Nothing wrong with looking fabulous on a budget. Stay tuned for the outcome...

I've been tagged

I was tagged my Yummy411 and Nywele. Thanks gals! I had to list 6 random things about myself.

1. I have been with my husband since I was 16 years old, married at 20 years old... 3 kids, 8 years of marriage and still going strong. Can anyone say alimony. LMAO!

2. I am the only vegetarian in my household. So I have to make a separate dinner for myself.

3. I work two jobs, and I am in Grad school. I need some damn sleep!

4. Huge animal lover. I have two cats and a dog. One of my jobs is working for a Humane Society, and have been doing so partime for the last 7 years.

5. I love to dance. Especially modern, but right now I am doing African.

6. I have never left the East Coast. I need to travel. The only states I have been to are: Florida, Georgia, S. Carolina, N. Carolina, Virgina, MD & Dc of course, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.

I'll do some tagging a little later...

Baltimore Natural Hair Care Expo

Will you be there? I want to try to get in on some of the classes that they got going on. The expo should be interesting and entertaining. There will also be a lot of vendors there, I will see what I can scoop up.
